Type Locality and Naming
North-central Zhejiang. The Daojiuwan Fm (lowermost formation of the Chencai Gr) was named by Kong Xiangsheng et al. in 1989 and published in 1994. The type section is in Daojiuwan Village, Dingjiawu of Chencai, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province. Lower formation of the Chencai Gr

Lithology and Thickness
Lower part is composed of dark-grey amphibolite and migmatite leptite (mostly mylonitized) sandwiched with thin-bedded quartzite. Upper part consists of monzonitic leuco-leptite and monzonitic leptite, quartzite with amphibolite (locally migmatized). The formation has an outcropped thickness of 714 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Its base is not seen.
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain by the Xiahetu Fm.
Regional extent
The formation is widespread in the area of Dingjiawu, Chencai, Zhejiang Province.
